Ammanford Lions Club is part of the world-wide Lions Clubs International.

However, as with all Lions Clubs, our club takes part in a range of activities that are unique to us. We run a number of different activities during the year such as:

1. Santa Sleigh Runs with the funds going to a different local cause each year
2. Christmas Tree of Light services
3. Organise taking Pudsey Bear to local schools (actually 5 teams of people taking 5 Pudseys round to schools) and co-ordinating the collections made in each school, banking the money and giving each participating school a certificate.
4. Distributing free 'Message In A Bottle's to local surgeries and pharmacies.
5. Grants to local causes.
6. Collecting old spectacles from local opticians to recycle and send to countries abroad needing eye care.
7. Station adopters for two local railway stations where we maintain the planters

Our club does everything it can to support our local community in a variety of ways and all money raised goes to support local causes.
