For over a decade Albury Wodonga Regional FoodShare has been increasing access to quality nutritious food for people in financial stress or need by rescuing and redistributing it through partner organisations and agencies located primarily across North East Victoria and also Southern NSW.

Over 800,000 kilograms of food is collected each year by FoodShare from over 65 suppliers. This equates to 1.55 million meals per year which is distributed to 24,000 people living in poverty in rural and regional communities and through 225 regional agencies, educational institutions and community groups, within FoodShare’s catchment areas.

In response to the 2020 Summer Bushfires and Coronavirus pandemic, FoodShare introduced a Community Pantry program which  provides hampers directly to members of the community requiring emergency food relief . These hampers are assembled in FoodShare’s warehouse by our team of volunteers and include fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy items, pre-pared meals and protein as well as non-perishable food and some household items.
