We are a non-profit theater for folx who want to be in shows for fun, but are not pursuing it professionally. There is no audition or experience required to participate. On the surface this looks an after work extracurricular activity, much like a sports or pub trivia league, but at the heart of it, the process of putting on a show together teaches us, as adults, about building confidence, teamwork, empathy and how to shine the light on others while finding it within ourselves at the same time.It’s also an important value of ours that we cast shows non-traditionally, so that anyone who enters our room can feel the possibility of playing any role, regardless of their age, ethnicity, body type, gender expression, physical abilities or neurotypicality. Traditional theater tells people what they are not. Our theater inspires people to be their truest selves.We are tuition based, but don’t want to cause a financial burden for those with tighter budgets. So we offer pay what you can tuition options up front, as well as financial assistance for up to 100% off. We believe anyone who wants to build their community and find their inner light should be able to do so. People have found lifelong friends, co-workers, cat-sitters, roommates, and even life partners through our programs. Chosen family should be available to all.
