Footprints on the Heart offers free in-person services and support to families facing the death of a baby (pregnancy-age 2) in Bartow, Polk, Floyd, Whitfield, Gordon, and Murray Counties within NW Georgia. Helping families make tangible memories with their baby is at the heart of what we do: (remembrance photography, memory making, H.O.P.E. Boxes, assistance with funeral planning, ongoing peer support). Our ministry primarily provides our free services within the hospital setting but also provide our services to funeral homes in these communities as well. Due to the nature of our ministry efforts, there is no “cookie-cutter” type approach to our ministry services. We truly try to meet families where they are and serve them to the best of our ability. Some families may only need help with in-person hospital services while others may need hospital support as well as assistance with funeral planning needs (caskets, flowers) etc. With the help of our supporters and donors we are changing the birth story for families experiencing such unimaginable loss.
