Acts of Kindness (AOK) provides crisis support to families and individuals in Gosport and the surrounding area (Fareham, Lee on Solent, and as far out as Whiteley), in the form, primarily, of food parcels, and increasingly in the provision of household items such as bedding, furniture, kitchen equipment, and white goods to those in need. We have been asked on several occasions to help with flooring for families going into temporary accommodation, which up till now we have only been able to help with by passing on rarely donated rugs. Our support phone line is open to anyone who calls in for a food parcel due to hardship. We operate Monday to Friday, we provide food free of charge, and deliver the food parcels via a network of volunteer delivery drivers. Many local agencies refer clients to us for food, and also for household items which are delivered free of charge by our volunteers in the AOK van.                                              AOK is managed and run completely by volunteers and financed through some grants but mainly through donations (food, clothing, furniture etc and monetary) from the public.
