WPN Athletics Foundation began with a simple beief: athletes deserve a community that supports them, not just a finish line to chase.

Founded by Steve Brennan, known to many as Weapon, WPN grew out of the relationships built through running, coaching and a shared commitment to looking after one another. Its foundations are personal. This is not a large organisation with endless resources. It is a grassroots effort, currently supported financially by one coach, with a vision for what athlete support could become.

Working alongside endurance athletes in Kenya, we want to help build a future where athletes have access to more than training and competition. We believe their health, wellbeing, education, safety and opportunities beyond sport matter just as much as their performance.

Our work is about building that support around athletes and their communities, listening to what is needed and creating opportunities that can grow with them.

We are still small. Our ambitions are not.

We want to develop practical resources, strengthen athlete welfare and safeguarding, and build partnerships that make meaningful, lasting support possible. We want to help create a sporting community where athletes can look out for one another, where wellbeing is taken seriously, and where opportunity does not end when the race is over.

Right now, we are at the beginning of that journey. Every connection, every supporter and every contribution helps us turn a shared belief into something bigger.

Because athletics has always been about more than the individual runner. It is about the people beside you, the people who get you to the start line, and the community that stands with you long after you cross the finish line.

All for one. One for all.
