WINC provides wildlife rehabilitation - free medical care - for sick, injured, and orphaned native Wisconsin wildlife with the goal to release them back to the wild. Annually we admit up to 3,000 animals of over 140 species. Over 68,000 animals have passed through the Wildlife in Need Center’s doors since January 1, 1994. Approximately 85% of these animals were admitted because of interactions with humans. We try to mitigate the harm people accidentally or purposefully cause wildlife. We also provide a wildlife hotline to help people deal humanely with wildlife problems and answer wildlife questions for about 10,000 calls a year. We love providing educational programs about wildlife at our location and in our local communities for pre-K thru senior citizens. We want to help people live harmoniously with wildlife.
