Safe Harbor is a non-profit, all-volunteer network of foster farms in middle Tennessee and south-central Kentucky dedicated to transitioning retired racehorses into new careers and forever homes. and outreach to our communities to improve the lives of horses and their humans.

Our programs include:

1) Safe Harbor Standardbreds for retiring harness racehorses

2) Rescue and Sanctuary for horses seized by law enforcement or trapped in 'the gap' between safe and unsafe; those which can live comfortably in a pasture but have special needs will be protected by our sanctuary program for life.

3) Community outreach to include Charlie's Fund owner assistance grants, educational programs and services, and outreach events including 'reading with racehorses', Little Free Libraries, and more.
