The aim of the Rotary West Coast Lend a Hand Foundation is to assist small charitable organizations and individuals by providing funding, mentoring or through the provision of goods/services. Jointly run by West Coast Rotary Clubs, funding for the Foundation will come from fundraising, and annual contributions from local business support.

A key driver of the Foundation is to give a hand up, not a handout. The Foundation encourages a self-help philosophy and promotes cooperation with other West Coast organizations and agencies. All projects funded by the Foundation will be related to a real need in the West Coast community and will directly benefit the region.

To ensure a wide range of groups and individuals can be assisted through the Foundation the maximum grant will be $500, with up to three larger grants each year of up to $1,500. The Foundation will also provide mentoring assistance where required to help applicants reach their goals.

The Lend a Hand Foundation is a truly local organization – run by the West Coast, for the West Coast, with all funds raised invested in the local community
