About us
Our organisation is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation of native Australian wildlife, with a particular focus on Grey-headed flying foxes, a keystone and nationally endangered species. Based in Victoria, we provide critical frontline care to orphaned and injured bats affected by heat stress, habitat loss, and injury caused by growing anthropogenic demands. These animals play a vital ecological role in pollination and seed dispersal across native forests, and their decline has serious environmental implications.
We are addressing a critical issue: flying fox populations are rapidly collapsing due to a combination of climate-driven stressors and human activity. Without intervention, we risk irreversible biodiversity loss. Our team brings extensive veterinary and wildlife care experience, and we are well-placed to deliver complex rehabilitation programs and frontline response efforts. Our current priorities include expanding rehabilitation capacity during pup season, improving our response to mass casualty events, and developing community education initiatives to reduce conflict and shift public attitudes. We are also collaborating with government and council agencies to protect critical habitat.
Funding will directly support enclosure upgrades, specialised veterinary supplies, formula, and the training of volunteers to help ensure the survival and safe release of these vital native animals.
