People are the reason. We strive is to ensure that everybody has access to clean drinking water. We simply believe that no person should have to live without clean drinking water. We are joining the movement and committed to making the Global Goals for sustainable development a reality thereby ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all – Global Goal #6 clean water and sanitation. Statistics reveal that 45% of water wells are broken across Africa due to a lack of after care. In Tanzania: • 23,000,000 people do not have access to clean drinking water - approximately the population of Australia • Over 4,000 children die every year from diarrhoea from drinking contaminated water • 70% of households are without clean drinking water This led WFA to set up a sustainable program where we empower, train and employ local people to be the solution to this problem and benefit the community. Access to safe clean water has a ripple effect throughout a community, it is just the beginning of change. This clean water allows children, mainly girls, to return back to school to receive an education, allowing them to have equal opportunities. Sickness and disease is reduced and the death rate is lowered. Our current region in Tanzania is the Mufindi District in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania and Northern Uganda,
