TLC for Kids is the most inclusive children's charity in Australia, because empathy shouldn't have terms and conditions. No sick child should be put on a waiting list to get help. No child should be excluded on the basis of their illness, disability or age. No family should go without support in times of crisis. And yet, many sick kids and their families slip through the gaps of existing charity services, left without help to face a mountain of financial, practical and emotional burdens. A simple hand-up could be all that’s needed to provide a moment of happiness or relief for these families. Whether it’s a one-off hospital visit or a prolonged struggle with illness, we are part of the extended support network for sick children, aiming to reduce stress and help everyone face what’s ahead. For 20 years, we have worked behind the scenes upon referral to help kids of all conditions and disabilities, as many times as needed, no matter who they are or where they come from.
