The TPOC mission is to provide a safe and secure therapy visitation program for seniors residing in retirement homes, long-term care facilities, day away programs, and hospitals and for our volunteers and pets that provide a valuable service to their community. TPOC offers a trustworthy reading program in schools and libraries, PAWS Room visits for exam stress relief at high schools, colleges and universities. TPOC also offers a confidential program designed to provide visitation with Victims Witness Assistance Programs (VWAP), Canadian courts, police agencies, fire stations, EMS facilities, shelters, disaster site, grief/loss support, school crisis support and where there is a need. Therapeutic Paws of Canada is a volunteer therapy dog and cat program that is offered to the community free of cost. TPOC members do not charge for this service, but donations to the organization are always welcome. This service is offered with pride throughout Canada. TPOC National requires donations, grants and funding to stay operational, and to pay the many expenses incurred on behalf of the teams and volunteers.
