Ottawa River Rescue Squad is a 100% volunteer 100% donation funded community-based organization that offers life-saving services on and around waterways within a 50-mile radius of Ottawa.  Services include first aid to boaters, boat tows, medical transports, and body recoveries of drowning victims.  ORS is also a leader in the community in CPR education, offering classes monthly at an extremely minimal cost as a service to the community.   As an organization our members not only spend countless hours training and perfecting their skills on the water, but they also give back to the community by thousands of manhours annually volunteering at other events.  ORS is always looking to give back to the community that has so graciously supported them over the years.  Since 1957, we are still going strong! We are not a line item on the city budget and we do not charge for calls.  With an annual operating budget of around $42,000 we count on businesses and individuals to help us cover basic utilities costs, fuel for boats to respond to calls, and basic maintenance.  Your help is more than appreciated!
