About us

For Our Friends is a 501c3 based on Long Island and Queens NY.

We save the most needy!

Most of our rescues are from the shelter system.

Senior dogs sitting in cages, sick dogs and cats languishing, bonded pairs overlooked, these are the ones we take into our care and give them all the love, medical care and attention they need.

We are 100 percent foster based and once a dog or cat comes into our care, we treat them like our very own animals.

We work very closely with our vets to ensure that we do everything to treat, heal and strengthen each animal we rescue.

We provide all of them with a healthy diet, suited to their individual needs.

Every dog or cat is spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and given flea and heartworm preventive.

When a dog or cat in our care is medically cleared, they become available for adoption.

We also have a permanent foster program  whereby the care of a senior/sick dog or cat is covered by us for the remainder of his/her life.

We love each and every animal we take in, and we know we make a difference in their lives.

Please help us by voting for us to continue saving lives!
