The Lean Into It program I run at The Grief Centre of WA supports young people 14-25 who are experiencing grief and loss. The program offers understanding, support, and recovery by providing a free weekly support group and membership to a private FB group where members can speak freely and enjoy our weekly inspirational messages. The funding requested will allow us to to develop and implement projects that involve education on the seriousness of grief as well as raise awareness of our free services to local mental health organisations, youth organisations, and educational institutions. Due to the increasing epidemic of teen suicide, this is a critical time to support us in this field (see http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-11-30/system-for-suicide-prevention-rates-highest-10-years/8076780). Managing grief alone often leads to all sorts of negative consequences, for example; physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, socially, and/or mentally.
