The Animal Guardian Society founded in 1087, is a 100% Volunteer program.  With the help of our loving foster homes and dedicated volunteers are program works within community to improve the lives of animals in need.   Dogs can come from Reserves, puppy mills, owners, shelters.   Every dog or cat who enters are program are assessed before placement to ensure a suitable match.  Our adoption process is lengthy but taking the time to ensure that our dogs/cats are matched to the proper families is always our goal.  Our program also includes a 9 week Behaviour Training course to help owners to learn about dog behaviour and Holistic care.  All  dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption.  The greatest cost to our program in veterinary care.  With the rising cost of care and many animals needing beyond the routine, spay/neuter and vaccines we must always be prepared.  Once a animal enters are program they are always given the best chance to get well.  We do not euthanize for the cost of a high vet bill.  As a Charity we do our best to fundraise and reach out to make animal lovers aware of what we do and how their support is needed.  There is no government funding.  We always welcome inquiries, 37 years is a long time, but the need is sadly still so great.
