About us
Taime Pasifika Cancer Support is a New Zealand-based not-for-profit organisation founded by survivors, for survivors and fighters. Taime - the Cook Islands word for "time" - is a promise of hope, a testament to survival, and a call to action for the Pasifika cancer community.
Voting for us means joining our mission to provide the support, care, and resources needed to navigate the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. Our service includes; Connection to agencies and programmes that meet the immediate needs of our registered members. Support Group manage a Private Facebook chat group and organise in-person get togethers every month. Our Zumba® Gold classes incorporate Pasifika music and movements, carefully choreographed to empower older active participants and those undergoing cancer rehabilitation. Teu Lou Ulu is the name of our headwear library with a range of wigs, hats and turbans for those experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment.
