Millions of lambs die on Australian farms every year during their first 48 hours of life. These deaths are largely due to being abandoned by their mother shortly after birth, often in the case of twins or triplets because the mother is unable to care for all her babies. Lamb Care Australia is a registered charity with all donations of $2 and above being 100% tax deductible. The organisation fosters and rehomes orphaned or abandoned lambs born during the lambing season in Victoria. Surrendered lambs are placed into specialist care for a minimum of a week prior to being placed with a foster carer. Following the weaning period they are placed into a forever home where they will live a long and happy life. Lamb Care Australia also aims to educate the public about the industry into which these lambs are born. "In a world where you can be anything, be kind". A secondary aim of Lamb Care Australia is to educate the public about the plight of these lambs and help people to make more compassionate lifestyle choices in regards to animals.
