About us
At the turn of the 90s, a group of people living with spinal cord injury on the Sunshine Coast decided that they wanted to be in a position to tailor the support and services they needed, when they needed them and how they wanted them delivered. They wanted to exercise choice and control.
Supportivity (formerly 121 Care) was formed in 1992, with the goal to change the way that people with disabilities received support by ensuring that they could continue to live independently and enjoy a better quality of life on their own terms. In the years following, Supportivity expanded its support from spinal cord injury to include other disabilities including neurological conditions or physical conditions such as cerebral palsy, amputees, traumatic brain injury and more recently to mental illness and intellectual disability.
To support these new services, Supportivity acquired and established multiple supported accommodations and supported independent living sites across the Sunshine Coast and South-East Queensland.
Our newest chapter saw us unify our existing businesses and service offerings under one name – Supportivity. We’ve come a long way since our inception, but our philosophy has always remained the same. Choice is our core service offering. We want to empower you to choose the life you love.
