About us
St Ann’s is the largest hospice in Greater Manchester, providing care and support for people nearing the end of their lives as well as helping families and carers through this time.
Hospice care is focused on looking after the whole person, not just treating their illness. People accessing our services take part in all kinds of therapies, including creative art and music therapies, complementary treatments to help pain relief and relaxation and help managing symptoms such as breathlessness.
Our aim is to help people with chronic illnesses make the most of every day, and staff and volunteers work together to help make this happen for people we’re supporting – be it sharing a drink and a laugh with their family, or the bigger moments like getting married to the love of their life.
We support carers and loved ones as well as those with a life-limiting illness and provide bereavement support and counselling following a death.
“My mum gave me the best life, and she got the very best care when she most needed it. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers for making my mum’s last journey one we will always remember in a positive light”
All our services are free of charge, and the sooner we’re involved, the more we can help.
