About us
Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People is a registered charity that provides various services to enhance the quality of life for all visually impaired people within the Metropolitan Borough of Bury.
We are a small, independent local charity with just six members of staff and a core team of over 80 dedicated volunteers.
The heart of our work is promoting the well-being and independence of blind and partially sighted people in Bury and surrounding areas. We provide a programme of support to improve health and wellbeing, enhance self-esteem, combat loneliness and isolation, digital inclusion and physical well-being. We rely solely on grants, donations and local fundraising to maintain these services.
