SPELD NSW Inc
About us
SPELD NSW is urging you to VOTE FOR US. SPELD NSW is one of the National Federation of SPELD Associations, AUSPELD. It is an incorporated not-for-profit association of parents and professionals committed to advancing the education and well-being of children and adults with Specific Learning Difficulties(SLDs). SLDs can include reading issues like Dyslexia, writing issues like Dysgraphia, maths issues like Dyscalculia, attention issues like ADHD and many more. SLDs affect approximately 10% of the population, so regardless of IQ; there are approximately three children in every school class of 30 with a SLD. SPELD NSW offers a free advice and referral service which supports children and adults whose lives are affected by SLDs. Your VOTE will continue to help us provide this free assistance and other services to children and adults who need our help. SPELD NSW also supports educators working directly with children with SLDs with evidence based and practical professional development days. We guarantee that what you learn you will be able to take back in the classroom the next day. All our PD Training is NESA approved and hours attended contribute towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW. Importantly, we are a voice for advocacy. The SPELD NSW Board is in contact with the NSW Department of Education and AUSPELD lobbies the Federal Government on behalf of the SLD Community and those that teach, work and care for them. Donations are a vital part of our funding. VOTE 1 SPELD NSW. Thank You.
