RACS is an Australian charity providing free specialised legal assistance to financially disadvantaged and highly vulnerable refugees and people seeking asylum. We support people both in Australia and internationally who are fleeing danger because of their race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or sexual and gender identities and who seek Australia's protection.

Our clients include refugee women escaping violence, stateless people, families separated by conflict, and LGBTIQA+ people facing persecution because of who they are. Through dedicated legal services and advocacy, we help ensure that people escaping persecution and forced to flee their homes, get fair and equal access to justice and have a real opportunity to find safety and rebuild their lives.
