Solid Rock Community School, is a non-profit 501c3 located in Tarpon Springs, FL. SRCS offers a strong sense of acceptance and community by embracing diversity of background, culture, faith, personalities, and thought. Students learn the importance of compassion, love, kindness, respect for themselves, respect for each other, and respect for nature and the planet we live on. We encourage, challenge, and inspire each student to learn, develop in character, and think critically. Students become thinkers, leaders, and collaborators who contribute to the greater good of society as responsible involved citizens and good stewards of the world in which we live.
Our main campus, a K-12 school, is a certified Green School and Ocean Friendly campus that teaches students about sustainability and the environment, giving them the tools they need to solve the global challenges we are facing. Solid Rock Community School is designing a learning experience for students that will prepare them to lead the world toward a healthier, cleaner, more sustainable future. SRCS includes hands-on gardening with our seed to table science garden to support a culture of health and wellness throughout the school.
Solid Rock Community School offers a program, called “SAVE” (Sanctuary for Animals and Veterinary Education) at our Sanctuary at Solid Rock campus for students with a true passion and interest in animal related career and college opportunities. Classes and experience include Animal Behaviors, Animal Care, Animal Grooming, Animal Rescue & Rehab, Animal Rights Law, Habitats (natural & bioactive), Humane Education, Sustainable Food & Gardening, Vet Assisting & Tech, Veterinary Medicine, Wildlife Conservationist and more.
The Sanctuary at Solid Rock provides forever homes with healthy compassionate care to the abandoned, abused and/or neglected animals who reside permanently at our sanctuary. We have a variety of wild and exotic residents under our permanent care including hedgehogs, chinchillas, amazons, tortoises, marmosets, lemurs and more. We work with local rescue partners to help domesticated animals in need. We provide onsite emergency wildlife rehab as well as working with rehab partners. Humane education and advocacy is a high priority of the Sanctuary at Solid Rock. We believe education is power and strive to provide our community with education and resources to ignite social change, advocate for institutional reforms, and end animal cruelty and exploitation.
Donations help us to continue our educational programs and provide forever homes and care to our sanctuary animals. The support you give is greatly appreciated <3
