Soap Aid is an Australian not-for-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and reducing waste through soap recycling. We collect used hard bar soap from hotels and other accommodation providers through our Hotel to Hands programme, recycle it into brand new, hygienic bars, and donate them through our Community Impact Partners to vulnerable communities in Australia and overseas.

Why It Matters:
Every year, millions of children die from preventable diseases like diarrhoea and pneumonia - illnesses that can be dramatically reduced through proper handwashing. According to the World Health Organization, handwashing with soap can reduce these deaths by up to 44%.

Access to soap not only saves lives- it gives people the dignity of good hygiene and improves quality of life. Families experience fewer missed days at school and work, helping break cycles of poverty and disadvantage.

Every bar of soap is distributed with hygiene education materials, creating lifelong improvements in community health.
