We are a volunteer run dog rescue in far west Mansfield, Texas. This area in Mansfield, Texas is a more rural area.  Many dogs are dumped near our rescue.  These are animals that have once belonged to a family, had been cared for and were then dumped because they were no longer wanted.  We have taken in dogs whose owners moved only to leave the dog abandoned in the empty house.  They come in stressed, depressed and scared.  Our volunteers work with them to help them learn to trust again.   We have also taken in dogs who were strays and living off the land.  We have been able to capture several of them and offer them the love, stability, food and lots of pets. Some of our dogs are owner surrendered for a variety of reasons. We work with each case on an individual basis to see what we can do to help each dog stay with its family...whether that is advertising the dog for rehoming, helping with shots and medical needs, etc.

We are fortunate enough to have a facility to house our dogs.  Each dog has its own kennel area. This means that our volunteers are are the facility 7 days a week- taking dogs on walks, feeding them, playing with them, cleaning their kennels, etc.  Each dog is fully vetted by a vet, is updated on shots and is spay/neutered so they will e ready for their forever home! Our volunteers work tirelessly to make sure that the dogs are not only cared for, but they also advertise the dogs on a variety of social media platforms to increase their chances of being fostered or adopted.  They arrange meet and greets, home visits, etc to make sure that home they go to is the good fit. We rely on our community to help off set the cost of vetting each dog, for food, cleaning supplies, treats and toys.
