SCI Foundation provides technical and financial support to Ministries of Health, in line with their own strategies and plans, to enhance sustainability and strengthen health systems within countries affected by these diseases. We work to scale up their government-implemented deworming programmes by providing advisory support and conducting research and analysis on outcomes to continually improve and optimise programme design.

Based on our strategy, we are working to broaden the technical support we provide to Ministries of Health on behavioural and environmental measures for prevention of parasitic worm infections, as well as measures for improving the treatment of complications and chronic health conditions caused by schistosomiasis, such as female genital schistosomiasis.

Additionally, we are a leading partner in several networks and forums working on schistosomiasis and neglected tropical diseases, and work to improve prevention, control and treatment strategies implemented by the broader global health community.
