The Turning Point Counselling Service
The Turning Point Counselling Service has been committed to supporting individuals suffering mental health and emotional difficulties within the local community for over 20 years. We endeavour to be accessible to all who approach us offering a compassionate service. We accept self-referrals from anyone over fourteen years of age and the number of counselling sessions are tailored to the needs of each individual. Turning Point aims to offer counselling that enables clients suffering from mental illness, depression or anxiety to develop coping strategies and skills that enable and empower them to overcome their difficulties. We offer a telephone support service and drop-in sessions available for anyone who gets in touch. We work with local Universities enabling trainee counsellors to gain their necessary 100 training hours in a supportive and supervised environment which provides a pathway into a counselling profession. In summary, we aim to maintain a welcoming, non-judgmental, and non-discriminatory service to anyone seeking our support.
