The mission of Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY) is to improve the lives of runaway, homeless, and opportunity youth and their families in the Washington DC and Prince George's County, MD areas. As the region’s leading provider, SBY provides holistic services to empower and strengthen more than 15,000 young people and their families annually. For nearly fifty years, we’ve removed barriers to health equity by helping youth achieve long-term housing stability and self-sufficiency. Our agency’s foundation rests on three pillars of success: Safe Homes, Life Skills, and Workforce and Education. We provide a full continuum of housing services to remove youth from homelessness. We provide case management and goal-setting that incorporates life skills training and personal skill development to give youth the skills and knowledge to live independently. And we connect young people with education, job training, and employment that will help them break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
