New England Lab Rescue is a charitable Non Profit with many volunteers who daily work on rescuing labs who would be euthanized in southern shelter simply for the lack of space.  We have to move fast and get them out of the kill shelters and find local fosters or boarding to hold them until we can get them to a vet for exams, spay or neuters, heart worm testing ( and if positive we treat it) and with rabies, shots and other medications, our adoption fees barely cover the basic costs.  Then we transport them up with USDA transport at about 175.00 per dog. Our funding comes from friends, supporters, and donations and every adoption allows us to pull more labs to safety.  We have placed since 2010, about 4500 labs who would all have been destroyed... and now are thriving in loving New England Forever Homes.
