SafeHaven maintains Tarrant County’s only two domestic violence shelters located in Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas, with the capacity to hold 164 survivors per night. SafeHaven’s emergency shelters are the cornerstone of our services, providing life-saving intervention for women and children fleeing domestic violence. SafeHaven’s other services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, a supportive long-term housing program for families exiting the shelters, legal services, counseling, case management, youth violence prevention programs, and comprehensive programs for children. SafeHaven is committed to ending the culture of domestic violence, and teaches age-appropriate curricula in area schools targeting dating violence and bullying. A Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) is offered as well, that gives offenders the tools they need to have healthy relationships in the future. SafeHaven’s comprehensive programs provide vital intervention for women and children fleeing domestic violence. Not only do our programs protect survivors from immediate danger, but help them heal from their traumatic experiences and live free of domestic violence in the future. It takes vision to confront domestic violence and build a safer community for all of us to live. We are so grateful for your commitment to seeing and solving these most pressing problems.
