The Ruth Paz Foundation is a non-profit organization in San

Pedro Sula, Honduras, devoted to providing medical services to

low-income patients. Our Foundation’s mission is to improve

the quality of life of children and adults through the delivery of

high-quality healthcare services, surpassing the care available

within the public health system. Ruth Paz, our founder, started

her medical charity work in 1969, bringing in medical teams

and taking Honduran children to the U.S. for much needed

medical care. In 1992, the Foundation was registered as a legal

entity by Honduran law through resolution No. 190-92.

In 1999, The United States Treasury Department granted the

Ruth Paz Foundation 501(c) 3 status for non-governmental

organization.

We provide medical services to the most vulnerable community in

our country, in various specialties through two care centers: The

Ruth Paz Clinic and Ruth Paz Hospital.

We host between 15-20 medical brigades a year, where approximately 1000 children and adults

receive specialized surgeries.

We are the only organization in Honduras that provides surgical care to people with scoliosis and anorectal malformations.

From 2013 to date, the Ruth Paz Foundation has provided more than 509,000 medical services

and hosted 370 medical brigades.
