Dedicated to humanely reduce the feral cat population by providing a full-service Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) experience. To further educate and promote awareness to the Coastal Bend community and to protect the lives of outdoor cats, providing a second chance for those that can be placed in forever homes. Our work affects community cats in addition to the citizens of this community. Many residents feel helpless; don't know how to safely or effectively control the cat population in their area; after TNR, the quality of life for the community and the community cats is elevated because the control mechanism has been put in place as a practical solution to a community problem. The residents that we assist in the TNR process are educated on how to humanely handle the cat problem in their area. They are better equipped with how to speak to other residents that might be experiencing the same problem and share the TNR best practices or options. It has been proven that colonies that are involved in TNR diminish in size over time. Trap-Neuter-Return quickly stabilizes feral cat populations by instantly ending reproduction and by removing socialized cats from the colony. TNR relieves cats of the constant stresses of mating and pregnancy and therefore reduces the stress and inconveniences placed on the citizens. Trap-neuter-return (TNR) is a management technique in which homeless, free-roaming (community) cats are humanely trapped, evaluated and sterilized by a licensed veterinarian, vaccinated against rabies, and then returned to their original habitat. We rely on the goodwill from public donations to help fund our mission on fixing colony cats.
