Rose Haven's mission is to provide day shelter, resources, emotional support, and community connections to women, children, and marginalized genders experiencing homelessness and poverty. Our vision is a community where everyone has safety, stability, love, health, and home. As the only day shelter of its kind in downtown Portland, our low-barrier model makes us the first point of contact for many who are seeking social services. We offer sanctuary for guests to seek supplies and services to regain independence.

We are celebrating our 27th year of service offering programs based on our guests' self-defined needs. We are a respite from the streets, operating as a day shelter and community center to provide holistic, life saving programming and combat social isolation for systematically marginalized individuals. Our work not only addresses immediate needs, but empowers our guests to address long-term change through compassionate trauma-informed care.
