About us
Monk Botanical Gardens has reached a 20-year milestone of cultivating almost 15 acres of nature spaces that delight, engage, educate and inspire thousands of visitors annually ā right here in the heart of north central Wisconsin.
The Gardens has become one of Wausauās most cherished outdoor destinations, a botanical treasure that offers nature-based activities year-round. Weāve come to be known and loved as Wausauās Happy Place!Some of our most beloved programs include:
- The Sprouts Garden Preschool and Summer Camp, outdoor programs kindling a love in nature through experiential learning.
- Blossom of Lights show highlighting the Gardens treasures through colored lights and activities.
- Over 5,000 different plants are documented and cared for.
