Read to a Child pairs adult reading mentors with children struggling with reading for one-on-one reading sessions once per week for multiple school years.  Students in our Read Aloud Mentoring Program are from the under-resourced communities hit hardest by pandemic learning loss and, without intervention, are falling further and further behind.  The evidence shows that mentoring and reading aloud are two major ways to close the achievement gap and help struggling students to thrive!
