About us
Polk County Bully Project pulls dogs off death row from the number one kill shelter in the state of Florida and 5th in the Nation. Pit Bulls are not adopted out and must be rescued. We focus on the block heads, the bully breeds, that are most at risk in the shelter environment. We have saved over 3000 dogs since 2019. We rescue all breeds that are on the euthanasia list. We function 100% on donations and have a small facility with a huge foster base. We are working to change the negative stigma of Pit Bulls and the misunderstandings associated with the breed.
