It is essential that Pieta is able to continue providing our core services, in particular our suicide crisis intervention therapy, during the Covid19 crisis. Self-isolation is having an impact on us all. For some it has been a heightened sense of anxiety or insecurity, but for others, the impact has been and will be more profound, with the longer term implications of economic downturn and unemployment also posing significant risk. Pieta must be able to continue to help the people of Ireland at a time of unprecedented distress and uncertainty and it is with thanks to AIB that we are able to do this. We are continuing to provide our self-harm and suicide intervention services virtually in 2021 to ensure that everyone suffering from suicide ideation or self-harm receives the help and support they need.
