About us
Patriot Assistance Dogs (PAD) was founded in 2011. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that rescues dogs and trains them as service dogs for veterans living with PTSD, TBI and more, at NO COST to the veteran. About 75% of our dogs are rescues, the remainder are either donated or bred for the program. Our service dogs are task trained for each veteran, and are allowed access to all places open to the public under ADA guidelines.
PAD dogs are carefully vetted and trained to:
- Interrupt Anxiety Attacks
- Interrupt Road Rage
- Remove Veteran from High Stress Situations
- Provide Personal Space
- Interrupt Night Terrors
- and much more
