The Museum is a community-focused local history museum, grounded in the stories and heritage of Papakura and its surrounding districts.

The Museum has standing exhibitions depicting aspects of the history in-cluding tangata whenua, settlers, industries, the growing community and events related to the area. Text and images tell the story of settlement, colonisation, industry, war, farming and progress. In addition to the stand-ing exhibitions, we present shorter-term touring exhibitions that attract additional interest.
