Our mission is to create a healthier and more food-secure community through education, as well as increased access to quality food.

Last year, we served 9558 residents out of a population of 40,000. We are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 4 hours to anyone who is financially struggling. Our primary food contributor is the Community Food Bank of So. AZ., which in the past couple of months no longer has staples such as rice, beans, cereal, bread, and peanut butter. I am having to source these items and spending grant funds that we did not anticipate using for these items in our budget. So far this year, we have seen an increase in the number of families in need; last year at this time, we were serving 256 families each month. To date, we are now serving 280-287 families per month. With government grants not available, other grants to which I can apply are so overwhelmed with applications that most grants applied for this year have not been won. Donations are down by 13% due to our current governmental crisis and resulting cutbacks.

We have launched a couple of fundraising campaigns to bring to the attention of our community the urgent need for funds to continue operating.
