Berkeley's Place was founded in memory of a special needs rescue dog. The goal of our Foundation is to advance education by providing courses, workshops, and seminars relating to proper care of dogs, on topics such as responsible dog selection, ownership and training, dog bite prevention, fear and reactivity, and force free training. The Foundation promotes animal welfare by rescuing, rehabilitating, and caring for neglected, surrendered, injured, sick, or abandoned animals and acts as a network to assist other animal rescues in the community by sourcing and sharing food and other supplies. The Foundation provides supplies to guardians with displaced pets in times of emergencies and partners with First Nation communities aiding with feeding companion animals, finding out the needs of the Nation and supplying collars, harnesses and microchips to help identify owned animals. Other supports such as spay/neuter, dewormer and vaccine support are on a per Nation basis.
