About us
One Heart provides fresh and nutritious food, clothing, life skills education, and advocacy to men, women, children, and families as they transition through and overcome varying hardships of daily living in the Central Florida region.
The main service we provide is perishable and non-perishable food including dairy, fresh produce, and meats. Our Pantry and Outreach provide opportunities for One Heart’s staff and volunteers to serve homeless and working poor in our community. Enough food for 3.5 million meals distributed last year.
Our focus areas include the Holden-Parramore area which has a population density that is 68% higher than Orlando and is 80.96% Black with 66% of those being children. Per capita income is $10,287. The Pine Hill’s population is 71.4% Black and has another 13% that are Hispanic. Children represent 28.9% of Pine Hills population. The per capita income in 2019 of Pine Hills area was $16,916. These numbers demonstrate the great need for assistance in these areas. These efforts have significant health implications for all we serve.
