Mission:

Northern Beaches Cares is a community led and managed charity promoting the prevention and support of people with situational distress, mental wellbeing challenges  appearing as nonclinical or diagnosed depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, loss, loneliness, suicidal ideation along with other social and emotional risk factors that may be experienced within the Northern Beaches community 

We are seeking to help create a Northern Beaches Community healthy and free from suicide by directing or promoting activities that support people dealing with these risk factors.

Offering a trusted source of information and education for the community Reducing the stigma of Mental Illness and Suicide through the propagation of the evidence based awareness and understanding of suicide Develop and promote the voice of Lived Experience as a pathway for support of people with suicidal ideation. Connecting and collaborating with like-minded community groups and services Advocating for and enabling creative, innovative, and effective initiatives that support people with Mental health challenges and situational distress that leads to suicide Developing and expanding peer support services available on the Northern Beaches Operating and advocating the Community Safe Space programs.
