New American Pathways is not just an organization for refugees; we are also an organization of refugees. We witness the incredible contributions of refugees every day, and we are committed to seeing refugees and Georgia thrive. During this period of social distancing, we are concerned about the health and financial wellbeing of our many refugee clients and are supporting them in the following ways: 1. Sharing accurate and up to date information in language through interpretation and translation. 2. Connecting individuals to services and resources such as emergency food, financial assistance, free Wi-Fi, unemployment benefits, and home-based education tools. 3. Utilizing technology to provide all the services we can remotely. 4. Providing emergency services in person when necessary with Covid-19 protocols in place to project clients and staff. We also anticipate that funding will be impacted by the pandemic. Program interruptions will impact fee for service government contracts including refugee resettlement and estimate a loss in fundraising of between $300,000 and $400,000, or approximately 10% of this year’s revenue. Your support will enable New American Pathways to provide emergency relief to refugee families in crisis and maintain funding levels when receivables are impacted by disruption of programs and service delivery.
