Morgan Safenet Foundation INC
About us
MISSION:
The Morgan Safenet Foundation's (MSN) mission is to promote the Morgan horse breed and help to prevent the need for rescue. Through relationship building and education, MSN’s accomplishes this by assisting owners, trainers, breeders and the Amish market with a network for their lower price point horses. Educating and promoting the versatility and personality of the Morgan horse, MSN is an alternative solution for new owners to be matched with quality horses while encouraging and promoting stewardship, responsibility and a synergy of efforts within the Morgan breed through intentional philanthropy.
Surpassing social stigmas. Promote the Morgan Horse - Prevent the need for rescue - Preserve responsibility and the breed foundation.
DESCRIPTION:
There are very few organizations devoted to marketing of what has commonly been referred to as "not enough horse". These are typically the lower price point Morgans suitable for the entry level equestrian. The Morgan breed is versatile and family oriented. By nature, they are smart, willing, forgiving and please people. They fill a void and encourage new people to the breed who may have never considered owning a Morgan before. Aggressive marketing is essential to enthusiasts inside and outside the Morgan community.
While sometimes there is a need to rescue, MSN works hard to repurpose Morgans into a new job before that need may arise. Morgans through our repurpose program are retrained for a suitable job within the community, sold at a price point that retains their value and gets them accessible to entry level Morgan enthusiasts.
Much of what we hear about the fate of the Morgan horse includes words of rescue, slaughter, donate, and adopt. Too few people hear about their heart, athleticism and versatility or see them as viable options.
