The purpose of the MVBCR is to promote the welfare of captive exotic birds by providing information about them, and by rescuing and finding new homes for birds in need of such services. By educating the public about the needs of and proper care of exotic birds in captivity. We hope to promote a greater interest in companion birds. although we are dedicated to the welfare of all birds, we focus on rescuing and finding homes for abused, abandoned, lost, or displaced companion birds, often through placing birds in foster homes until appropriate permanent homes can be found.
