Founded and granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS in 2016, Hootie’s Haven Animal Rescue Inc is committed to the care and rescue of dogs from high kill shelters, abusive and neglectful situations, and owners who are no longer able to care for their pet. Our goal is to educate the public and reduce the over population of dogs. We welcome the public to join us, making a difference by volunteering, donating, fostering, adopting, and educating others. We evaluate every pet in our care to ensure the potential adopter and pet are suitably matched. All pets in our care are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, placed on flea/tick prevention, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, and given the opportunity to feel love, comfort, and safety - many for the first time in their lives. We operate entirely from public/private donations, and every dollar received goes directly to the medical and daily care of each pet. We are staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers with many years of experience
