The Spokane chapter of Mended Hearts is a lifeline for cardiac patients and their families across the Inland Northwest. As a volunteer-driven, community-based organization, we provide critical peer-to-peer support and advocacy for adults with heart disease and families of children born with congenital heart defects. Our dedicated volunteers comprised of former patients, family or cardiac professionals, work hand-in-hand with local hospitals and clinics, offering weekly visits to support patients’ emotional well-being during some of their most challenging moments.

Since 2014, our chapter has served thousands through:
    •    Personal connections that help patients and caregivers adapt to their “new normal”
    •    Educational meetings that empower families with knowledge and resources
    •    State and national advocacy to improve cardiac care and awareness
    •    Ongoing outreach that continues to expand as the need grows
